Windy Bill Chiles  Windy Bill Chiles rode onto the Cow-Boy poetry and music stage in 1992 after hearing Don Edwards and Ian Tyson sing songs from Bill's youth. As his family drove cattle on the last of the drives to the highlands of Eastern Idaho, he would sing the old Range Ballads and Trail Songs. Bill now knew folks wanted to hear the Old Songs once more.

Since then Bill has taken traditional Cow-Boy music and early Western music to any sort of cowboy poetry gathering from Washington to Texas. From bars and rodeos to restaurants and weddings, numerous funerals and various and sundry Bar-Mitzvahs. In 1999 he was awarded the prestigious Golden Note Award from the United States largest Cowboy Poets Society, the Cowboy Poets of Idaho, Inc. His smooth melodic voice will make you cry over "Silver Haired Daddy" and switch in a note beat to reportedly one of the most exciting moments on any stage when Bill sings R.W. Hampton’s "My Maria."

Always searching for the "Steel Dust Horse" Bill constantly studies, investigates and is learning some old scrap of song. His renditions of new cowboy music is the finest you will ever hear. He released his first cd "Worth the Ride" in 2000. His second release at this writing is only weeks away from being available. "Riding the Red Road" has already pre-sold more than you can shake a stick at. So come give this old Idaho Cow-Boy a listen. I believe you'll like him.
